Yossi Dagan on roadblocks in Samaria: it's an insult
|News » Incidents
The head of the regional council of Samaria, Yossi Dagan, called for the immediate removal of the checkpoints set up by the IDF.
He made the corresponding statement on the evening of March 2.
" This is disrespectful and an insult to the people of Samaria. If the roadblocks are not removed, we will go to court,” he warned.
During the day, the IDF set up roadblocks at four intersections in Samaria to prevent a rally in support of the legalization of the Evyatar outpost, which was approved in advance, but permission was revoked at the last moment.
Thousands of people tried to get to the event, but got stuck in kilometer-long traffic jams.
