The Kingdom of Morocco is included in the 2030 FIFA World Cup bid along with Spain and Portugal. And Ukraine, as you might have guessed, is excluded from it – Morocco will take its place at the world's largest football forum.

As you know, Morocco's bid to host the 2026 World Cup was rejected due to the fact that the country could not allocate the necessary amount for holding competitions. But together with Spain and Portugal, the Africans will be able to host the Mundial.

In October, Spain and Portugal included Ukraine in their application for the tournament. The idea was supported by UEFA. However, later the EU countries began to consider the option of replacing Ukraine with Morocco because of the situation with UAF President Andriy Pavelko. He is suspected of fraud and money laundering during the construction of an artificial turf factory for football fields. But the final decision was made against the backdrop of continued active hostilities in Ukraine.

Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Greece (joint bid), Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Paraguay (joint bid) will also compete for the right to host the championship ).

The hosts of the 2030 World Cup will be chosen at the 74th FIFA Congress in 2024.

As a reminder, Ukraine applied to host the 2030 World Cup last year together with football federations of Spain and Portugal.
