Gaza residents' work permits revoked after attempted bus bombing

After the arrest of a Palestinian from Gaza who planned to blow up a bus in southern Israel, the coordinator of government operations in the territories decided to deny entry to Israel to approximately 200 residents of Gaza.

Persons with revoked permits are suspected of being related to terrorist elements.

“The results of the investigation once again show that terrorist elements in the Gaza Strip are making great efforts to create a terrorist infrastructure that undermines regional stability, including by taking advantage of work permits issued by the State of Israel to encourage armed struggle,” says the Shin Bet.
