Police and medics said a woman was shot dead outside her home and in front of her children in the northern Arab village of Kafr Qana on Sunday, writes the Times of Israel.< br />
According to Magen David Adom Ambulance Service, paramedics found 29-year-old Bayan Nassar Abbas with severe injuries and attempted to resuscitate her by taking her to a hospital in Nazareth.

Doctors pronounced her dead shortly after her arrival, the statement said.

Abbas's relative told Channel 12 that the man drove up to the house on a motorcycle and opened fire on him.

According to media reports , at the time of the shot, the victim was sitting with the children on the porch.

The police said they had launched an investigation into the incident. Shey probably intended to open fire on the house, but did not harm anyone.

Hagit Peer, chairman of the women's rights organization Naamat, said that “violence is going wild at the time how our elected officials keep focusing on themselves and not on life itself”.

Peer accused the government of delaying passing urgent laws that could protect lives.

“Regardless of the specific background of today's event, it somehow illustrates the government's priorities”, — Peer said.

Arab communities have seen a rising tide of violence in recent years. Many blame the police for failing to crack down on powerful criminal organizations and largely ignoring the violence, which includes family feuds, mafia turf wars and violence against women.
