With the support of the UN and the EU: Jerusalem will be turned into the capital of

The newspaper Yediot Ahronot published a large material on the plan of the Palestinian Authority to turn Jerusalem into the capital of “Palestine” until 2030.

The plan was developed and is being implemented with the support of the UN and the EU.

The total cost of the plan is about a billion shekels.

The Palestinians intend to create a gigantic autonomous formation – from Beit Horon and Mount Adar to the Dead Sea. The plan provides for a partial termination of the Oslo Accords, the creation of an independent municipality, the construction of Palestinian police stations, massive Palestinian construction within the boundaries of the said area, and the use of the resources of the Dead Sea.

Partial abandonment of the Oslo Accords is necessary for the construction of Palestinian police stations in the capital of Israel.

The Palestinians are already working on the implementation of this program, officially called the “Jerusalem District Development Plan”. over the past two years.

The main goal of the program is “turning Jerusalem into the capital and heart of Palestine”. The “capital” will include Khan al-Ahmar and the quarters of East Jerusalem – Kfar Akab, Beit Hanina, Beit Safafa, Tzur Baher, Siluan, Jabal al-Mukaber, the Old City, as well as Neve Yaakov, Pisgat Zeev, and even the Jewish University complex and the territory of local councils bordering with Maale Adumim.

The plan provides for the creation of social, transport, educational and cultural infrastructure, healthcare facilities, purification, water and sewerage facilities, power substations, communications, etc.

In fact, the program provides for the creation of a separate municipality that will control all aspects of the life of the Arab population in the area – including the population of the Old City.

One of the authors of the plan, Palestinian Minister Majd al-Salah, writes in the preamble to the plan: “It is necessary to move from the state of reaction to the actions of the opposite side to the state of seizing the initiative. It is necessary to create facts on the ground in order to strengthen the resistance of the inhabitants of Jerusalem”.
