WHO: Monkey pox cases down 21%

The number of cases of monkeypox in the world over the past week has decreased by 21%. This is stated in the report of the World Health Organization. This reversed the month-long upward trend in the number of infections and may indicate that the outbreak in Europe is on the decline. According to WHO, 5,907 new cases are recorded weekly. Two countries, Iran and Indonesia, reported the first cases. To date, since the end of April, more than 45,000 cases have been reported in 98 countries. America accounted for 60% of cases last month, while Europe — about 38%.
