|News » Incidents
BBC spoke to more than 200 farmers and analyzed satellite imagery and delivery data to track where grain stolen in Ukraine is going
According to the publication, grain is exported from the occupied territories to the occupied Crimea and from there to Russia. Then the grain can be mixed with Russian grain, or the ships turn off GPS trackers, and it becomes impossible to track the route.
Ukrainian grain could be sold to Syria. As for Turkey, there is no confirmation of this.
The journalists requested data on the movement of Russian ships that were exporting grain stolen in Ukraine, but did not receive an answer.
