“We have already broken the record of 100 thousand infected per day”
Professor Eran Segal of the Weizmann Institute was interviewed by Galei IDF radio.
Segal stated: & ldquo; We have already broken the record of one hundred thousand infected per day. Throughout the epidemic, we knew that we pass 3-4 times more infected people than the tests show. One in ten or even one in eight will be infected. It is necessary to protect the representatives of risk groups. ”
Segal added:“ In a week or two, the peak of infections is expected. Given that the doubling rate of those infected with Omicron higher, but people recover faster. I hope that we will not break the records that we have seen in the past. ”
