Waylon releases Dutch single | Stars
Waylon (41) says on Instagram that writing the song has given him a whole new view of the Dutch language. „Writing in my native language is a lot more difficult than I thought and it has changed my knowledge and use of the Dutch language quite a bit. I was once again fascinated by beautiful, chic Dutch. Our language is so much richer than I thought.” In writing, the singer received help from well-known songwriters such as Joost Marsman, Sander Rozeboom and Han Kooreneef.
The single is a foretaste of the ‘Top 1000 Rood Wit Blauw’ show, a concert series with which Waylon will be in Ahoy Rotterdam for three evenings in November. Earlier, the singer announced that he will only perform songs from Dutch soil during this concert series. In addition to well-known songs by De Dijk, Normal and Het Goede Doel, Waylon also sings songs from a yet to be released Dutch album.
In 2016, the rocker also released a Dutch single; together with Claudia de Breij he sang the duet Miss You So Much.
