At least 3,825 people died in the Syrian war in 2022, the lowest annual death toll since the conflict began more than a decade ago.

It is noted that a large number of deaths are associated with security chaos, dozens of strikes attributed to Israel, and attacks by the Islamic State group.< br />
Among those killed were 1,627 civilians, including 321 children. Of the civilians killed, 209 people, about half of them children, were victims of mines or other explosive devices.
