Wanted to stab a passerby in Jerusalem: charged

On Friday, April 1, the Jerusalem District Attorney's Office indicted Murad Barkat, 28, who attacked a passerby in Jerusalem about two weeks ago.

According to the indictment, Barkat armed himself with a knife and tried to stab a passerby. The victim defended himself and at some point knocked the weapon out of the hands of the attacker. The wounded man needed medical attention.
The prosecution demanded that the defendant be taken into custody until the end of the trial.
