Today, at the Habima Theater in Tel Aviv, a farewell ceremony was held with the famous poet and songwriter Yoram Taharlev, who died at the age of 84.
According to The Times of Israel, hundreds of Israelis, including politicians, came to say goodbye to the poet.
Defense Minister Benny Gantz noted that only six months ago he was at one of Taharlev's performances: “I was happy every moment … He left a little hoarse, and most importantly happy and contented. ”
Meirav Michaeli, Minister of Transport, emphasized:“ Today Israel needs this humanistic voice more than ever, and it will always accompany us. ”
Minister of Culture and Sports Healy Tropper also attended the farewell ceremony.
“ Not many manage to become the voice of generations, grandparents, parents and children. You have succeeded. You are no more but your spirit and words remain with us. Rest in peace, “the minister said.
