“The situation in Belgorod – an example of a typical Russian disregard for safety precautions and the massive use of dangerous and unusable ammunition from the Second World War.

Just yesterday, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of the threat of detonation of ammunition, a huge number of which Russia equipped near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
< br /> We demand from the UN Security Council to immediately take measures to demilitarize the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and introduce a UN special mission there! This is the only way to eliminate the risks of a repeat accident at the station as a result of careless handling of deadly ammunition by the Russian military,” said Irina Vereshchuk.
