In Barcelona, law enforcement officers detained a vandal who painted Z-symbols on local historical sites. It turned out to be a 56-year-old citizen of Ukraine of Russian origin, the press service of the Catalan police reported.
According to law enforcement officers, during September and October, the vandal drew several graffiti with the “Z” symbol, a swastika and threats in Russian.
His drawings were found on the building where the Ukrainian association “Dzherelo” is located. and the façade of the Barcelona Cathedral.
The investigation revealed that the suspect posted a photo of his graffiti on his social networks immediately after application in order to achieve wider publicity.
“11 October, new graffiti appeared in the Poblenou district, which included threatening texts against the Ukrainian people and Russians who live in Barcelona and oppose the invasion of Ukraine,” the police say.
Vandal has already been charged with two crimes.
