US State Department accuses UN of bias against Israel < /p>

An 18-page report by the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry into the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem and Israel” was posted on the UN website on Tuesday.

The report claims that Israel is largely to blame for the conflict with the Palestinians. Israel's actions in Judea, Samaria, Gaza, and East Jerusalem are referred to as “eternal” situation that is unlikely to be resolved without international intervention.

On the same day, the US Department of State responded to the report of the UN Commission of Inquiry, stating that the activities of the commission in its current form are a continuation of a long-standing pattern of unfair disproportionate attention to to Israel.

“As we have repeatedly stated, we strongly oppose the open and vague nature of the UN Commission of Inquiry on Israel, Judea, Samria and Gaza. This is a one-sided, biased approach that does nothing to promote peace”, — said Ned Price, a State Department spokesman.
