Israeli TV Channel 13 published a report about an attack by an American intelligence agent on a woman in Jerusalem.

Tamar Ben-Chaim , the granddaughter of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, was walking towards her friend through the Mahane Yehuda market around midnight on July 11.

She was suddenly attacked by an armed man. She says: “I looked death in the face. He hit me hard in the face, in the chest, tore off my earrings, and slapped me in the face. I was screaming and I couldn't hear anyone but myself.

Another American agent pulled the attacker away from Tamar. Later it turned out that both took part in the preparation of Joe Biden's visit to Israel and drank in a pub in the market.

Tamar called the police. The assailant was arrested, interrogated, and released a few hours later, put on the first plane bound for the United States. He was suspended from his official duties and an investigation into his actions was launched.
