US Congresswoman: 'Palestinian children are being caged'

U.S. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Palestinian children are being “caged in the West Bank.”

As reported Daily Mail, Ocasio-Cortez has been criticized by a pro-Palestine protester in Texas.

“From a media standpoint, with all this stuff, the word 'Palestine' is practically forbidden. It's censored. We don't talk about it. Nobody knows about it. Thank you for bringing this up, to be honest, because we don't have to tiptoe around these things,” the congresswoman said.

She also denied accusations of anti-Semitism leveled against some of Israel's biggest critics in House of Representatives such as Ilhan Omari Rashida Tlaib.

Ocasio-Cortez also compared how migrants are treated on the US-Mexico border to how Palestinians are treated in the West Bank .

“I don't believe a child should be caged on our border, and I don't believe a child should be caged on the West Bank,” she said.
< br /> According to the Daily Mail, Ocasio-Cortez gave no examples of children being locked up in cages in the West Bank.
