 US concerned about Israeli

State Department Spokesman Ned Price said the US was “concerned about Israel's deportation and revocation practices.”

Thus Price responded to the question of the deportation from Israel of Salah Hamuri, who was serving time for the attempted assassination of Ovadia Yosef and membership in a terrorist organization. This is reported by the Jerusalem Post.

“We have heard statements from the Israeli government that this decision was taken for Israel's security reasons. For our part, we of course recognize the very real security challenges facing Israel, and we reaffirmed our commitment to the security of Israel. However, we have concerns about the practice of deportation and revocation of residence permits, as well as the potential threat of such policies to the demographic character of Jerusalem,” Ned Price said.
