US approves coronavirus vaccine for babies

< p>

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Pfizer and Modernana vaccines for children six months to five years of age. It is likely that the first vaccinations in the United States will be given to babies as early as next week. Thus, almost 20 million children under the age of five will be able to receive vaccines. The decision comes days after a panel of experts recommended approval of the two companies' vaccines for children.
