U.S. Ambassador to Israel Tom Neides said that the Israeli authorities should support the two-state solution.
Speaking at the World Anti-Terrorism Summit of the International Counter-Terrorism Institute at Reichmann University, Arutz Sheva reports.
“In order to preserve the democratic Jewish State, it is important to achieve a two-state solution. The situation in Judea and Samaria cannot continue,” Ambassador Neides stressed.
The American diplomat also commented on the situation around the nuclear deal with Iran. According to him, the United States will not allow Iran to obtain weapons of mass destruction.
“Iran and its allies pose an extreme threat to the security of the State of Israel. The United States will not stand aside and will not allow them (Iran – ed.) to produce nuclear weapons,” he said.
