Archaeologists have discovered a Christian monastery on the coast of the United Arab Emirates, built before Islam. According to Sky News, it is part of the city of Umm Al Quwain on the island of Sinia. According to archaeologists, carbon dating of the foundation samples showed that the monastery was created at the beginning of VI – middle of the 7th century not. And Islam became widespread only in the 7th century. The monastery had several rooms, a baking oven, a baptismal font, and an altar. There were four rooms in the building next to the temple.
