UN: Millions of Afghan women and girls need help
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has reported that more than 11 million Afghan women and girls are in need of urgent humanitarian assistance.
According to the department, women and girls in Afghanistan need food, health care and education.
In addition, the department expressed concern that basic women's rights are being violated in Afghanistan.

The fundamental rights of Afghan women and girls are under attack.
They need our support and solidarity now more than ever.
Humanitarians aim to scale up assistance to women and girls by providing food, healthcare, education, livelihood opportunities and protection services.
