UN envoy meets with PA representative

UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Thor Vennesland met with PLO Executive Committee Secretary General Hussein Alsheikh. He announced this on Twitter. "We discussed the political situation in Palestine and Israel", — he said. According to Vennesland, it is confirmed that the UN will continue to actively engage with both sides to counter the negative trends and return them to a political path that will end the “occupation and implement the two-state solution.”
