Ukraine took 18th place in the ranking of the European Association of gas traders
For the first time Ukraine entered the top twenty gas hubs of Europe in the ranking of the European Association of gas traders (EFET), finishing in 18th place. This is stated in the press release of Naftogaz of Ukraine, reports Rus.Media.
The company noted that EFET for the first time included Ukraine in its annual review of gas hubs. In the ranking of the Association of Ukraine has received 3.5 points and lost liquid hubs such as NBP, TTF, NCG, but ahead of Bulgaria and Romania, which initiated a process of liberalization of the gas market much earlier than our country.
It is reported that to improve positions in the ranking EFET Ukraine should establish tariffs on the domestic point of entry/exit of TCU, to enter the daily balancing settlement off-balance sheet activities and begin to use short-term standardised products on a trading platform within the framework of daily balancing.
“The adoption of the draft amendments to the code of the GTS, was developed by Ukrtransgaz and filed them in NKREKU, will help the Ukrainian hub to significantly improve their position and to rise in the next review EFET”, – noted in “Naftogaz”.
