Two cases of tropical dengue fever detected in Russia

Two cases of tropical dengue fever — an acute viral disease that is transmitted through mosquito bites, — were registered in the Krasnoyarsk Territory of the Russian Federation.
Dmitry Goryaev, head of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, reported this on his Telegram channel.
“Both sick women have recently returned from Thailand (Phuket and Pattaya) ", — he clarified.
Goryaev noted that the situation is under control of the department of the oversight agency and that the infection is not transmitted from person to person.
