Two Cardiologists at Sheba Hospital Suspect Omicron

Two cardiologists at Sheba Hospital suspect Omicron

Two cardiologists working at Sheba Hospital are suspected of being infected with the new Omicron coronavirus strain. The Jerusalem Post reported.

Both doctors tested positive for coronavirus. Now the results of genetic sequencing are expected, which will determine what strain doctors are sick with.

The first doctor recently returned from London, where he participated in a medical conference. He has been vaccinated with three doses and his illness is mild. Before the cardiologist found out about the disease, he performed several operations. All people in contact with him have been warned and are being tested.

The second cardiologist, who is about 70 years old, talked to the first. He, too, is fully vaccinated.

According to a spokesperson for Sheba Hospital, there is reason to believe that both cardiologists “ caught '' strain Omicron.
