Twitter will soon allow users to monetize their content on the platform and publish long posts beyond traditional character limits, Twitter's new CEO, Elon Musk, announced on Saturday, November 5.
Musk, who took over Twitter in late October, announced plans for sweeping changes to the company, having already laid off half of the staff, including several of the company's top executives.
“Twitter will soon add the ability to attach long text to posts, which will put an end to the absurdity of screenshots from a notepad”, — Musk wrote on Saturday. “This will be followed by monetization for authors of all forms of content”.
Exactly how monetization will be carried out is still unknown.
