Turkish army killed 5 terrorists in northern Syria

On Friday, August 5, Anadolu News Agency reported, citing the Turkish Ministry of Defense, that the Turkish army killed five terrorists of the YPG, the Syrian wing of the PKK, in northern Syria.

The Turkish Defense Ministry stressed its determination to eradicate terrorism in the region.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that from 1984, when the PKK militants first committed a bloody crime in Turkey, until March 2020 year, they killed 7,500 members of the Turkish security forces and 6,800 civilians.
The US and the EU have listed the PKK as a terrorist organization.
