Israel has postponed the 24-hour opening of the Allenby checkpoint, which is mainly used by Palestinians from Judea and Samaria as the main exit point for overseas travel.
This is the second delay project since Prime Minister Yair Lapid promised US President Joe Biden in July that he would extend the transition's opening hours.
The US has been pushing Israel to stick to the latest expansion date set on Monday. The Transportation Ministry said Sunday afternoon that the plan had been put on hold pending approval by its Israel Airport Authority Board.
Most Palestinians living in Judea and Samaria are barred from traveling through Ben Gurion Airport. jord via the Allenby Bridge and depart from the Jordanian airport in Amman.
