Toyota will stop the work of enterprises around the world

Toyota will shut down businesses worldwide

Next month, Toyota plans to shut down its operations in all countries where it operates. Due to the downtime, the number of cars produced from the conveyors will be 150,000 less than the annual plan.

Initially, it was planned to produce 9 million cars, but the shortage of microchips that arose last summer made adjustments. Despite the reduction in production, the company, at the end of 2021, bypassed its main competitor — GM.

The Chinese authorities believe that local microchip manufacturers have arranged a cartel and artificially create a shortage in the market. A criminal investigation into their activities is currently underway.

According to experts, the shortage of components will continue at least until the end of this year.
