Three cases of polio recorded in northern Israel

Three more children tested positive for polio in northern Israel on Thursday. According to the Ministry of Health, the children were in contact with an infected 8-year-old child who had not been vaccinated and tested positive for the polio virus a few days ago in Safed.
The ministry has not disclosed the vaccination status of the three children who tested positive.
Polio virus was previously found in sewerage throughout Israel.
< br /> According to the Ministry of Health, more than 150,000 children in Israel are still not vaccinated against the virus.
