'They've gone to hell': 3 cops shot dead in Kentucky

Three policemen were shot dead in the US state of Kentucky while trying to serve an arrest warrant against a man accused of domestic violence.
Police took the 49-year-old suspect into custody after the shooting.
Floyd County Sheriff John Hunt said officers encountered “a living hell” when they arrived at the man's home.
> Four more people were injured at the scene. One service dog has also been reported killed.
Police officers encountered a flurry of rifle shots when they approached the suspect's home shortly before 7:00 pm local time.
three hours before suspect Lance Stortz was taken into custody, surrendering after negotiations involving members of his family.
He was charged with two counts of murdering a police officer, five counts of attempted murder of a police officer, one one count of attempted murder and one count of assault on a service animal in the first degree.
Kentucky State Police are investigating the shooting.
