The WHO believes that a new strain of coronavirus identified in Cyprus, called Deltacron, may be a laboratory error.
This was stated by the representative of the organization and epidemiologist Maria van Kerkhove. According to her, Deltacron may have been the result of sample contamination during sequencing.
