|
US-based DRONEDEK has developed an anti-theft smart mailbox that can automatically receive drone-delivered packages.
A new bin the size of a trash can and is designed to receive packages delivered by drones. When it arrives, the lid of the box opens so that the package can be lowered into it using a cable.
To avoid damage to the packages, the box is equipped with shock absorption and a temperature control system. The mailbox sends the owner notifications about the delivery of the parcel.
Currently, the price of such a box is $ 3,000, but the goal of DRONEDEK is; reduce this amount to $ 1,000.
