Israeli meteorologists warn that today, December 22, the third day of the storm & ldquo; Karmal & rdquo; heavy rains will fall throughout Israel, up to the northern Negev.
The bulk of the rains will fall on the coastal strip and Ha-Shfela. The rains will be accompanied by thunder and lightning strikes. There is a risk of flash floods in the Dead Sea area and in the northern part of the Judean Desert. snow will continue to fall on Mount Hermon.
On December 21, 54 mm of precipitation fell in Tel Aviv, 57 mm in Beit Dagan, 8 in Merom Golan, and 3 in Jerusalem. In the Menashe area near Zikhron Ya'akov precipitation fell 88 mm at night – and another 17 mm during the day.
The air temperature throughout Israel will remain low. In Tel Aviv it will be up to 15 degrees, in Jerusalem – 11, in Haifa – 13, in Safed – 9, in Beer Sheva – 17, in Eilat – 21.
