The tallest woman in the world, Rumeisa Gelgi, over 2 meters tall, flew from Istanbul to San Francisco for the first time in her life after Turkish Airlines removed six seats to free a place for her.

Rumeisa Gelgi got into the Guinness Book of Records due to her height. 25-year-old girl usually moves in a wheelchair, as she suffers from a rare genetic disease – Weaver's Syndrome that causes rapid growth.

Rumeisa Gelgi shared her first social media flight with her 19,500 followers: “A flawless journey from start to finish. It was my first flight in an airplane, but certainly not my last. I heartily thank everyone and everyone who helped me on my journey”.
