The Russians kidnapped the 16-year-old son of the head of the Zaporozhye regional administration

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Oleg Buryak, said that his son was abducted at a Russian checkpoint in the city of Vasilyevka.
It happened while an evacuation convoy was moving from Melitopol in Zaporozhye on April 8.

“My 16-year-old son was leaving in a car with two women he knew and three young children. Everyone went to Zaporozhye. The column of cars was stopped by the Russian military and began to approach each one to check who was going where. They saw my son's phone and pulled him out of the car,” Buryak said.

“They have tablets, and they found that I was the guy's father. All this time we tried to resolve the issue on our own, but it didn't work out,” the head of the RGA said. Thus, according to official data, hundreds of people have been kidnapped in the Zaporozhye region since the beginning of the war between Ukraine and Russia. Among them are politicians, journalists, teachers.

In addition, there are known cases of kidnapping of city heads and administrations, as well as former managers. In early April, the former head of the Kherson regional state administration disappeared.
