The Council of Settlements of Judea and Samaria reacted to the terrorist attack that took place in Yosef's tomb last night, when Palestinians opened fire on Jewish pilgrims.
"The horrific nighttime attack on Yosef's tomb tonight should give decision makers serious thought.
Machine gun fire at Jews during prayer at holy site – this is a vile, vile act, indicating that the terrorists have ceased to be afraid of us. But no shooting and violence from the Arabs will stop us, we will continue to pray in places holy to us
We thank the IDF and the security forces, led by Colonel Roi Zweig, who showed real heroism during the shootout. We wish him and the rest of the wounded a speedy recovery and demand political intervention in this matter. The Israel Defense Forces must be at Yosef's tomb and guard this holy place,” the Council of Settlements said in a statement.
