Pensioner robs post office and 'lost' money on gambling

A 70-year-old Jerusalem resident was arrested and charged after allegedly robbing a post office for 100,000 shekels.

About this The Times of Israel reports.

According to the indictment, the man went to a post office in the Kiryat Yovel area to collect his pension. At the same time, a parcel with cash arrived at the post office.

The man took advantage of the moment, and when no one saw him, he fled with 100,000 shekels. A week later, the police arrested the robber. He only had two-thirds of the amount left, the rest, according to him, he lost in gambling.
