The oldest man in the world, Spaniard Saturnino de la Fuente Garcia, died at the age of 113.
The Guinness World Records website states that Garcia was born on February 11, 1909 years, and at the time of his death he was 112 years and 341 days old.
It is known that due to his short stature, the man was not taken into the army and he managed to avoid participation in the Spanish Civil War of 1936. He opened a shoe business and played for the local football team, Puente Castro.
Garcia has stated that the secret to his longevity is kindness to others.
He is survived by 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.< br />
