Israeli TV Channel 14 correspondent Hillel Biton Rosen reported on the details of the shootout near the Dzhalma checkpoint, as a result of which an IDF officer was killed.

One of A soldier participating in the firefight said that the commander of the Menashe brigade, Eric Moyal, who was on the scene, forbade the soldiers to shoot at the terrorists because at that time it was not known whether they were armed. The terrorists suddenly opened fire and killed the officer.
