The names of the pilots killed off the coast of Haifa released
The names of the pilots who died in the Atalef helicopter crash off the coast of Haifa have been cleared for publication.
The dead, Lieutenant Colonel Erez Sakhyani and Captain Hen Vogel were considered some of the best pilots in the Air Force .
The 38-year-old Lt. Col. Sakhyani was the deputy commander of Ramat David Air Force Base. He is survived by a wife and three children. Captain Hen Vogel, 27, was posthumously promoted to the rank of major.
