The murder of Dvir Sorek: the terrorist was given a life sentence

On Thursday, January 26, the court sentenced the terrorist involved in the murder of an Israeli teenager in 2019 to life imprisonment.
Mahmoud Atun will also have to pay 500,000 shekels Dvir Sorek's family.
According to the indictment, Atun was a member of a five-man Hamas cell that grabbed an 18-year-old Israeli as he was getting off the bus. The terrorists killed the boy and left his body on the side of the road.
Dvir Sorek was stabbed to death near Migdal Oz in August 2019. He was a yeshiva student. In November, the court accepted the charge that Atun was responsible for the attack, although he was not present at the time of the murder, he played a key role in planning the attack and recruiting one of the assassins.
