The most popular name in Brussels has been determined – and it's no longer the traditional Jean
In Brussels, the capital of Belgium, Mohamed, a common male name in the Muslim world, has overtaken the traditional Belgian name Jean in popularity.
Reportedly Report, in 2021, there were 13,595 people registered in Brussels with the name Mohamed. At the same time, according to last year's data, there were only 6,089 men with the name Jean in the Belgian capital. in Belgium as a whole, the name Jean is still in the lead with 65,886 people.
