Monuments are objects which are created, usually in honor of a significant event or important person. Age alone is tens of years, while others remember the Egyptian pharaohs. This overview contains the most famous monuments, on which to write the history of mankind.
The Egyptian pyramids
The earliest known Egyptian pyramids were found at Saqqara, Northwest of Memphis. And the oldest one is Pyramid of Djoser built in 2630 — 2611 BC, during the third dynasty. This pyramid and its surrounding complex were designed by the architect Imhotep, and are generally considered the world’s oldest monumental structures constructed of brick with a veneer.

The great wall of China.
Several walls were built in the VII century BC, and later they were added, joining in what is today known as the Great wall. Especially famous is the part of the wall built between 220-206 BC by the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang (from it there are very few).
