Pink Floyd band leader addressed Putin

Roger Waters, one of the leaders of the Pink Floyd group, wrote an open letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, urging him to stop the bloody war in Ukraine.

. First, would you like the war to end? If you answered “Yes, please,” it would immediately make the task much easier,” Waters wrote on his Facebook.

In his opinion, if the Russian president said that he further territorial interests, apart from the security of the Russian-speaking population of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk”, this would help end the war.

“I know some people who think you want to take over all of Europe, starting with Poland and the rest of the Baltics. If so, go to *** (to hell with it – ed.). We could all stop playing the desperately dangerous nuclear game that hawks on both sides of the Atlantic seem to be comfortable with. Just blow each other and the world to pieces. The problem is that I have children and grandchildren. Like most of my brothers and sisters around the world, none of us will like this outcome,” Waters added.

In addition, he noted that in the event of a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, Putin must promise not to invade anywhere else.

“I know the US and NATO invade other sovereign countries in the blink of an eye or for a few barrels of oil, but that doesn't mean you should. Your invasion of Ukraine took me by surprise, this is a heinous war of aggression whether provoked or not,” he wrote.

It is worth recalling that Waters has previously placed the blame for the war in Ukraine on US President Joe Biden.
