A major fire broke out in Val-de-Marne, a suburb of Paris.

According to the French press, a fire broke out in a warehouse at the Rungis market, considered the largest food market in the world. More than 12,000 people work at this market.

“The fire is practically under control, there are no casualties, there is no risk of the fire spreading,” authorities said.

Firefighters urged people to stay away from this area in the southern suburbs of Paris while they put out the fire.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.
