The Knesset has a new furry guard

Johnny, a springer spaniel, has joined the Mishmar Haknesset's Knesset guard dog unit.

According to Ynet, Johnny learned to sniff truffles before he was two months old. The dog was supposed to continue the “family tradition”, but he was chosen for the “work” in the Knesset.

“We've heard about Johnny's abilities. We did several tests and saw that he has a talent for sniffing out explosives. It usually takes up to a year to train such a dog for service, but Johnny was faster, since he was more developed when he came to us, ”said David Kodeda, who works in a dog breeding establishment.
