A Jew killed by a soldier was dressed as a Muslim and shouted: "terrorist attack!"

The fighter of the elite unit, who opened fire on the morning of November 14 at the Raanana crossroads, was interrogated and released to his unit, Haruts Sheva reports.

The fighter told his version, according to which a man in Muslim clothes ran towards him with a knife in his hand and shouted "Attack!". The fighter yelled at him to stop, but the suspect stood in front of him, brandishing a knife and speaking Arabic and Hebrew.

The fighter took a step back, pulled the bolt, and then he rushed at a man who was nearby. The fighter, fearing that the suspect would stab him, fired two shots at him, and he fell to the ground.

Video footage from the scene shows that the victim, a resident of Pardes Khan, aged about 50, was dressed in the same clothing as described by the fighter.

Colonel Avi Amiram and Captain Yossi Elbaz, representing the soldier on behalf of the chief military lawyer, stated that the soldier acted as required and as dictated by the special circumstances of the situation in which he found himself. The soldier expressed condolences to the family of the deceased.
