Santa Claus left his Lapland residence and began a journey to delight children around the world with gifts for Christmas.
According to the Daily Mail, North American Command The Aerospace Defense Force (NORAD) and the Canadian military traditionally track Santa's location.
Santa Claus is expected to travel first to New Zealand and Australia before continuing on to other countries. Santa has already given out 300 million gifts, according to press reports.
NORAD officials said conditions at the North Pole “indicate good weather for flying.”
